The Pelican Hotel opens in Accra’s Cantonments, blending Ghanaian charm with modern luxury

Accra’s hospitality sector has welcomed a new addition with the launch of The Pelican Hotel Cantonments, Accra, which began operations with a soft opening and is already drawing attention for its unique mix of comfort, convenience, and Ghanaian charm.

General Manager Philippe Hitti said the aim was to create a space that mirrors the spirit of the capital city. “The hotel offers an experience that embodies the world-famous Ghanaian hospitality. The Pelican features 134 rooms and suites, including kitchenette-fitted options for long-stay guests. Amenities include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour room and concierge service, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.

Dining is a central part of the guest experience, with The Beak Bistro serving international and local fusion cuisine throughout the day, and The Atrium offering a stylish setting for socialising, casual meetings, or simply unwinding. For corporate needs, the hotel provides modern conference facilities such as the versatile Theodosia and Ephraim suites.

The project was developed by Devtraco, a company recognised for quality and innovation in Ghana’s real estate sector, and is managed by ALEPH Hospitality.
