SuCasa Properties unveils Phase 1 of O'Grantson No.1 Community in East Legon Hills

EAST LEGON HILLS, Ghana – SuCasa Properties Limited, a leading real estate company, has officially commissioned phase one of the SuCasa O’Grantson No.1 Community at East Legon Hills.

The unveiling, held on February 17, 2023, also marked the sod-cutting ceremony for phases two and three of the project.

Michael O’Grantson-Agyapong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SuCasa, expressed the company’s commitment to addressing the housing infrastructure deficit by providing affordable housing units for Ghanaians.

He stated, “As a business, we are consciously keeping the prices of our houses affordable because we believe affordable housing is a must-have for every Ghanaian.”

The CEO outlined SuCasa’s ambitious vision, aiming to build 2000 houses by the close of 2023. He revealed plans to complete phase two of the O’Grantson Community project in March, commission it in April, and finish phase three by the end of the year.

The Minister for Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye, highlighted the significance of private sector investments in the housing sector and commended SuCasa for conducting business in the local currency.

He stated, “I am particularly happy to learn that the company endeavours to transact business in the Ghana Cedi, which has enormous benefits for our local economy and also ensures compliance with regulations of the Bank of Ghana.”

Asenso-Boakye also discussed government initiatives to transform the housing industry, including the establishment of the Ghana Housing Authority and the ongoing review of the Rent Act, 1963 (Act 220), to reflect modern trends and dynamics in the housing sector.

The event was attended by Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Samuel Amegayibor, Senior Management, and Staff of SuCasa, along with other dignitaries.
